If you've lost access to your Coinbase Wallet, you can restore it using your 12-word recovery phrase or a cloud backup. Since Coinbase Wallet is a non-custodial (self-custody) wallet, only you hold the keys to your funds—Coinbase cannot recover your wallet for you .
Install the latest version of the Coinbase Wallet mobile app from the official App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) .
Open the app and select "I already have a wallet" on the welcome screen . You will then have two recovery options:
After successful restoration, choose your preferred security method—biometric authentication (fingerprint or Face ID) or a new passcode .
If you have lost your 12-word recovery phrase and do not have a cloud backup, your funds cannot be recovered . Never share your recovery phrase with anyone; Coinbase will never ask for it .
